A Platform for Emerging Voices
The Arpana Fine Arts Gallery, housed within the Academy of Fine Arts and Literature, is a non-profit space dedicated to nurturing creativity. It was founded with the belief that art should not be confined by privilege or profit, but shared openly with society.
Over the years, the gallery has become a hub where young, emerging, differently-abled, and socially marginalised artists find a platform to showcase their work with dignity and visibility. With no commission on sales, the gallery stands apart as a space created purely for art and the artist.

How to Exhibit at the Gallery
The space is available on a rental basis, with facilities provided to support mounting and display.
Artist Requirements
Submit bio-data + two images of recent artworks with booking.
Entire exhibition must be pre-approved by the gallery.
Setup allowed from 9:00 AM onwards on the booked date.
Gallery provides tables, chairs, pedestals (max 4), and partitions (max 2) if required.
Rules & Regulations
No use of nails, staples, glue, or tape on walls — only approved hanging methods allowed.
Display strictly within gallery space; no outside areas permitted.
Gallery does not provide storage — artists must arrange safekeeping of works.
Artists are responsible for their artworks’ safety; a caretaker must be present if the artist is unavailable.
Invitations must mention “Academy of Fine arts and Literature” clearly as the venue (not a sponsor). Use of AFAL’s logo is not permitted.
AFAL reserves the right to cancel a show in cases of misconduct or misuse.
- The artists are encouraged to show the 8 ticketless museums at AFAL to their esteemed guests. (the artists must mention this in the invite for the event).
Additional Notes
Pre-booking for hanging/setup is available at ₹ 1,500.
The gallery operates on a first-come, first-served basis for scheduling.
All bookings are confirmed upon payment and completion of the booking form.
