Parvathy Baul Event

Whispering Ruins is a multimedia interaction of Late Bhasin’s film on Lodi Gardens with Navina Jafa dancing to the ruins, storied by Oroon Das to reflect imaginaries beyond the dated histories of monuments that mark our neighborhoods in Delhi.
It was hosted on 23rd May, Friday at 7 Pm at the Academy of Fine Arts and Literature.
Release of Padmashri Ajeet Cour's new book - Hari Cheetiyan Sapne Dekhti Hai.
Padmashri Ajeet Cour weaves yet another tapestry of words that transcends the ordinary. Her latest literary offering beckons readers into a world where even the smallest creatures dare to dream beyond their verdant confines.

Parvathy Baul Event

Join us for a transcendent evening with Parvathy Baul, one of the most celebrated exponents of the ancient Baul tradition of Bengal. Parvathy, in collaboration with Ahad-un-Ahad combines song, dance, and storytelling in her performances, carrying forward a spiritual musical tradition that dates back centuries.
Her mesmerizing performances feature the ektara (one-stringed instrument) and duggi (percussion) while she dances in the distinctive whirling motion characteristic of Baul artists. This rare appearance offers a unique opportunity to experience an authentic expression of this UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage.
The performance will be followed by an intimate Q&A session with the artist, Sujata Prasad and Oroon Das exploring her journey as a woman in a traditionally male-dominated art form and her efforts to preserve this ancient tradition.


Dialogue Series

Our prestigious Dialogue Series, running continuously since 1977, hosted a special session with the Director General of Bihar Museum, Anjani Kumar Singh. This profound conversation honored the legacy of Late Sculptor Himmat Shah, exploring his revolutionary contributions to contemporary Indian art and his influence on modern sculptural practices. The dialogue reflected on Shah’s experimental approach and his iconic sculptures that challenged conventional artistic boundaries.
This landmark session continued our tradition of hosting this celebrated literary gathering on the last Sunday of every month, bringing together poets, writers, and cultural luminaries in meaningful exchange.








Ceramic Exhibition by Sanjay Samant

Master ceramicist Sanjay Samant presented an extraordinary collection of contemporary ceramic artworks. The exhibition showcased his innovative techniques and distinctive artistic vision, featuring both functional pottery and abstract sculptural pieces that push the boundaries of the medium.

Raag-E-Shaam
An enchanting evening of classical Indian music featuring distinguished vocalists and instrumentalists. This musical soirée celebrated the rich tradition of ragas performed during the evening hours, creating a meditative atmosphere that highlighted the subtle emotional nuances of classical compositions and improvisations. This event was organized by People Places and Art(PPA).

Pottery Workshop by Dehri
This hands-on workshop introduced participants to the fundamental techniques of pottery making. From clay preparation to wheel throwing and hand-building methods, attendees learned the entire process of creating functional ceramic pieces, culminating in a collective firing session.

Dehri Art Workshop
Dehri conducted an immersive workshop exploring various visual art techniques. Participants experienced hands-on training in multiple mediums, from traditional painting approaches to experimental mixed media applications, all guided by Dehri’s characteristic focus on emotional expression through visual elements.
